2009 Capitol Artists' Studio Tour
September 12 & 13, 12-4pm
The Center for Contemporary Art Sacramento, proudly invites you to the fourth annual Capitol Artists' Studio Tour. This year, the Tour features more than 90 Sacramento artists within a 4 mile radius of the museum. The self-guided tour is free and provides a great opportunity to purchase art directly from many of the artists. This is a very family friendly event, and you are highly encouraged to ride your bike.
The studios will be open 12-4pm on both days of the Tour (September 12 & 13).
Preview the Art before the Tour
August 21 - September 13
Work from more than 70 of the participating artists on the Tour are on display at the CCAS. The work has been arranged based on the location of the studios and keyed to the Tour map. You are highly encouraged to preview the work and plan your tour outing.
Purchase your 2009 CAST Catalog
This year, CCAS is proud to make available a catalog featuring work by many of the artists participating in the Tour. The catalog is $25 (plus CA tax). Please contact the museum for further details or purchase via PayPal link below (please note, you must pick-up the catalog at the musuem).

Pre-Tour Lecture
Septemer 10, 7pm
The "Art" of Engagement: Connecting with Artists on Their Home Turf- a panel discussion with Gioia Fonda, Ianna Frisby, Cheryl Holben and Mariana Moscoso*
* Free to CCAS members and students; $5.00 general admission. Seating is very limited. CCAS members may reserve seating if they call prior to 4pm the day of the lecture.
Capital Public Radio- Insight
Septemer 11, 10 - 11 am
Tune in to Capital Public Radio's Insight program on Friday morning between 10 and 11 am. Host Jeffrey Callison interviews Cheryl Holben (Chair of the CAST Committee), Liv Moe (CAST artist) and Omar Arason (CAST artists). For futher information, please click <here>.

In Memory of Laureen Landau
The Board, volunteers and staff of the CCAS were sadden to learn of the passing of our friend, supporter, and fellow artist Laureen Landau. The 2009 Capitol Artists' Studio Tour has been dedicated to her memory.
