CCAS honors Victoria Dalkey

On March 17, 2007, the CCAS honored Victoria Dalkey, art correspondent for the Sacramento Bee, at the home of Mimi and Burnett Miller. Proceeds from the event were used to purchase a granite etched plaque in Victoria's name to be installed at the CCAS as well as to support continuing CCAS programming.

Joy Bertinuson, artist, CCAS Board Member, ARC and Sierra college instructor, was the master of ceremonies for the event. Guest presenters, Julia Connor, Sacramento Poet Laureate and Diana Daniels, Assistant Curator at the Crocker Art Museum both gave lively speeches about Victoria.

In addition to the fabulous conversation, delicious appetizers and wine were donated by Corti Brother's Market, Fat's Restaurant and Lucca Restaurant & Bar. An outstanding silent auction featured an Esthetics by Jeanette certificate and the work by renown artists of Wayne Thiebaud, Fred Dalkey, Troy Dalton, Chris Daubert, David Hollowell, Sarah Solis-Mattson, Roger Vail and a surprise donation by Greg Kondos.
